This means more certainty in delivery times to and from the area – it is envisaged Wellington will be a 45-minute drive away. Palmerston North is also only a short 30-minute drive so this area too can be readily serviced from the site.

The Horowhenua District Council is proactive when it comes to attracting industry to the region. They are committed to working with business to make it as easy and simple as possible to move and set up business to the Horowhenua. This includes having an Economic Development Unit set up specifically to provide all the resources and advise that companies may require (please see Due Diligence files).

Council have recently appointed a specialist Customer and Development Enabler working in conjunction with the head of the Economic Business Unit to assist new businesses to navigate their way around the Council processes and assist if any challenges arise.
