The Levin Gateway Park provides you with the opportunity to design and lease your purpose-built business facility in an excellent area.

The large block of industrial land is located at the crossroads of two key arterial routes; State Highway One from Auckland to Wellington and State Highway 57 through to Palmerston North. The proximity of the land to State Highway One gives the site an advantage over the likes of Palmerston North as a distribution / manufacturing base, as it means less time wasted for heavy vehicles having to divert off this key arterial route to transship etc.

The previous Government had undertaken an extensive roading program dubbed Roads of National Significance, the legacy of which will be a new four lane expressway from just south of Levin all the way to the cities of Porirua, Hutt City and Wellington. This means more certainty in delivery times to and from the area – it is envisaged Wellington will be a 45-minute drive away. Palmerston North is also only a short 30-minute drive so this area too can be readily serviced from the site.

The site has a special designation in the District Plan to allow for large scale development on the site (please see Due Diligence files).

The Horowhenua District Council is proactive when it comes to attracting industry to the region. They are committed to working with business to make it as easy and simple as possible to move and set up business to the Horowhenua. This includes having an Economic Development Unit set up specifically to provide all the resources and advise that companies may require (please see Due Diligence files).

Council have recently appointed a specialist Customer and Development Enabler working in conjunction with the head of the Economic Business Unit to assist new businesses to navigate their way around the Council processes and assist if any challenges arise.
